The foundation Gem\u00fcnden and Friends was founded in April 2020, by the married couple Heidrun and Dirk Gem\u00fcnden with the objective of promotion of art and culture. This purpose involves different areas: Among other things, the foundation would like to support the dialogue between art, architecture and building<\/b> as well as the society in the long term and to contribute to its development. In addition, the focus is on the promotion of projects in the visual arts, performing arts, film, literature, music and socio-culture. Another important aspect is the are\"and friends\"<\/b>Herewith, the foundation would like to broaden the horizon of the exhibited collection through endowments from art- and culture interested people. The deed of foundation was handed over on 6th May 2020.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Art and collecting... <\/b>f\u00fcr die Stifter Heidrun und Dirk Gem\u00fcnden eine gemeinsame Passion, die sie mit ihrer Begeisterung f\u00fcr andere L\u00e4nder und Kulturen seit vielen Jahren verbinden. Von zahlreichen Reisen durch die ganze Welt brachten sie viele spannende Kunstgegenst\u00e4nde nach Ingelheim am Rhein. Schon w\u00e4hrend ihrer Studienzeit wurden die ersten Exponate erworben, die erste afrikanische Maske zum Beispiel bei einem Aufenthalt in Frankreich. Ebenso geh\u00f6ren zu der Sammlung Werke zeitgen\u00f6ssischer Kunst – \u00fcber die Jahre wurde so eine beachtliche Kunstsammlung zusammengestellt, die Zeugnis des breit gef\u00e4cherten Interesses der beiden Stifter ist.<\/p>

\u201eBesondere Lieblingsst\u00fccke zu benennen, ist schwierig\u201c, so Heidrun Gem\u00fcnden. \u201eJede Reise, jedes Sammlerst\u00fcck hat eine eigene Geschichte und ist verbunden mit Erinnerungen an die faszinierenden Orte, die wir gemeinsam bereist haben. Zum Beispiel der gro\u00dfe Buddha: Er erinnert mich immer an unsere Reise nach Myanmar und die unterschiedlichen Buddha-Figuren, die uns bei der Besichtigung der Tempel begegnet sind.\u201c<\/p>

Dirk Gem\u00fcnden already felt the enthusiasm for collections in his childhood. Whether \"glass clickers\" or pictures for the Sanella-albums, which were very popular at the time, - the ambition to bring special things together gripped him immediately. It then became more serious with collecting stamps. The first stamps were mainly from the first set of occupation issues of the French zone of Rhineland-Palatinate and formed the basis of the \"Gem\u00fcnden Collection\". In the meantime, Dirk Gem\u00fcnden's stamp collection has grown to a considerable size.<\/p>

Die aufwendige Sanierung und Renovierung des denkmalgesch\u00fctzten ehemaligen Weinguts in Gro\u00df-Winternheim sowie dessen Umnutzung zu einem modernen Museum in historischer H\u00fclle ist ein erster Meilenstein f\u00fcr die Stiftung. <\/p>

F\u00fcr die Familie Gem\u00fcnden bedeutet es auch die R\u00fcckkehr zu einer ihrer Wurzeln – ihr Vorfahre Krisman von Gemonden ist im Gro\u00dfwinternheimer Taufbuch von 1543 verzeichnet.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
